Venice TV Award Names Global Jury for 2026 Competition

The Venice TV Award honours the finest television across all genres and formats. Behind those awards stands an international jury drawn from across the television world, from the BBC to NHK, from Sky to Paramount. More than 30 professionals evaluate the year's entries, spanning broadcasters, studios, streaming services and independent production.

They include Grégoire Polad, director general of the Association of Commercial Television in Europe; Alan Holland, head of specialist factual productions at BBC Studios; Karim Bartoletti, executive producer at Indiana Production and board member of the European Producers Association; Antonino Valvo, director and vice president of the Italian Directors Guild; Christina Freiherr, head of factual channels at Sky Germany; Natalija Gorščak, president of RTV Slovenia; Tomoko Morita, principal programme director at NHK Japan; Bonolo Modisakwane of Paramount Africa; Pedro Lopes, general director of content at SP Televisão in Portugal; Nina Aning, creative content manager at CBC Canada; and Minnie Ferrara, director of the Luchino Visconti Film School in Italy.

Each juror evaluates submissions independently, with awards going to outstanding achievements across all genres and formats. See the full jury here.​

With categories ranging from drama, documentary and news to performing arts, comedy, children's programming and light entertainment, the Venice TV Award calls for a jury whose expertise spans the full spectrum of television. Each genre is judged by professionals who understand it from the inside.

The 2026 competition is open for entries until 30 June, with winners announced on 29th September.
