Oregon’s Giant Duck Makes a Monstrous Case for Quarterback Dante Moore

Uni of Oregon’s iconic Big Duck appears alongside Godzilla at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Toho Building in stunt from Wieden+Kennedy Portland

University of Oregon quarterback Dante Moore made headlines when he turned down an opportunity to enter the NFL Draft and instead returned to Eugene for another season in green and yellow. Now, Oregon is celebrating that commitment with a larger-than-life show of support on one of the world’s biggest stages.

The Oregon Ducks are currently holding a showcase in Tokyo, and are using their trip to Japan to kick off Dante's Heisman campaign.

On Friday, June 26 Oregon’s iconic inflatable Big Duck returned, appearing alongside Godzilla at Tokyo’s famed Shinjuku Toho Building. The stunt serves as another unmistakable reminder that when Oregon Football makes an announcement, it rarely does so quietly.

The stunt follows the takeover of seven digital out-of-home screens in Shibuya Crossing, featuring Moore alongside the message: “Yes, There’s Moore,” has kicked off his pursuit of the 2026 Heisman Trophy.

While this will celebrate one of college football’s biggest stars, it also reflects a tradition that has become synonymous with Oregon Football: finding bold, unexpected ways to make a splash. From groundbreaking uniforms to headline-grabbing stunts, Oregon has consistently pushed the boundaries of how a football program builds its brand, recruits talent, and captures attention around the world.

The work was created by Wieden+Kennedy Portland in partnership with the University of Oregon.
