College football season is back, and Allstate has launched a new creative as part of its national 'Check First' ad campaign. The campaign from Wieden+Kennedy Portland encourages viewers to double-check their insurance coverage and rates and taps into football obsession and rituals to make insurance shopping more culturally relevant.
The new TV spots, airing during Week One, are part of the 'Check First' campaign for football and basketball seasons. The ads were produced in partnership with Wieden+Kennedy.
This season’s new spots include,
Superstitious: A group of BYU fans is watching the game in their apartment. When one of them steps outside to take a call, her friends lock her out on the cold balcony, believing the team plays better when she is not in the room.
Sick Day: A Penn State fan gets into awkward trouble with her boss, Jeff, when he sees her posts from the White Out game after she took a sick day.
Swim Meet: A football fan is at his brother’s swim meet watching the game on his phone. But he gets too excited during a play, accidentally setting off an unfortunate chain reaction.
The new spots build on the brand’s presence across other fan touchpoints, including video games, broadcast features, in-stadium moments and radio, keeping Allstate connected to fans throughout the season.
This season, Allstate will also continue its decades-long programs, including the Good Hands Nets, which has raised millions of dollars in scholarships since 2005 with every field goal and extra point scored, and title sponsorships such as the Sugar Bowl, which began in 2006.
