DEPT® has launched Agent Studio: the system DEPT®'s engineering teams use to deliver software for clients consistently with specialist AI agents.
As agentic delivery becomes more common across client work, Agent Studio is how the company keeps the agents, processes and guardrails consistent at scale - with customisation packs for verticals like ecommerce and for individual client rules.
Alongside Agent Studio, DEPT® is launching a transformation consultancy service: drawing on its experience running successful agentic delivery projects to help client teams adapt their own processes and ways of working.
Performance and recovery brand BLACKROLL worked with DEPT® on a full platform redesign delivered through the Agentic Studio. The full ecommerce platform redesign was delivered 3.8 times faster than the same work done manually.
"We needed a partner that could move at the pace our business demands without compromising on quality," said Scott Zalaznik, CEO at BLACKROLL. "What DEPT® delivered was not just a faster build. It was a fundamentally different way of working, and the results reflect that."
Most AI adoption in software has focused on making individual developers faster. DEPT®'s practice is built around the whole delivery team - on the principle that engineering accelerates only as fast as the work around it.
For ecommerce, Agent Studio's domain pack loads its architect, project manager and QA agents with the principles and workflows specific to an ecommerce build.
"The competitive advantage in AI is no longer about the tools - they're becoming commodity fast," said Jonathan Whiteside, EVP of technology at DEPT®. "It comes from the system you build around them. Quality at speed only happens when the whole delivery practice - not just engineering - is designed for it."
