TBWA\New Zealand has unveiled a new brand platform celebrating The Warehouse's enduring place in Kiwi life by entrenching the brand as the country's most enduring and beloved.
'This is Warehouse Country’ is the first major expression of a broader business transformation, with the platform designed to provide a long-term foundation for growth across the business, supporting the evolution of the customer experience, expansion of the store network, new merchandising initiatives, and category growth opportunities.
The integrated campaign is designed to remind New Zealanders of the unique role The Warehouse has played in communities across Aotearoa for generations, while reigniting affection for a brand built on making life's essentials, celebrations and little luxuries more affordable for everyone.

Through a series of TVCs, digital, and OOH, 'This is Warehouse Country' celebrates the many ways The Warehouse shows up in everyday Kiwi life.
From learning to drive in a Warehouse car park, to sheltering from the rain under the iconic Red Bag, stocking up for Saturday footy or gearing up for a roadie, the campaign captures moments that feel unmistakably New Zealand.
A hero throughout the work, the red bag stands as one of the brand's most recognisable assets: a symbol of everyday value and a constant companion in Kiwi life.
The creative idea stems from a simple truth: no other retailer has the same footprint, reach or connection to New Zealand communities as The Warehouse. From major cities to regional towns, the campaign celebrates the unique role the brand plays in both urban and rural communities, recognising the distinctly local ways New Zealanders live, connect and celebrate across the country.

With 84 stores across urban and regional New Zealand, more than 10,000 team members and a decades-long history of supporting families, schools and charities across the country, The Warehouse has become woven into the fabric of Kiwi life.
The campaign also reflects The Warehouse's founding spirit. Built on a disruptive entrepreneurial ambition to make desirable products more affordable, the brand became a champion for everyday New Zealanders. 'This is Warehouse Country' seeks to reconnect with that legacy while positioning the retailer for its next phase of growth.

Frankie Coulter, chief marketing officer, The Warehouse Group, said the campaign marks an important milestone in the company's wider transformation journey.
"This campaign is about reconnecting New Zealanders with what has always made The Warehouse special; almost every New Zealand has a story involving The Warehouse and we have had the privilege of being there for big and small moments that matter," Frankie said.
"Our ambition is to become Aotearoa New Zealand’s number one retailer again, so we're transforming the business from the inside out to unleash the next stage of growth, and that means strengthening every part of the customer experience, from what Kiwis see in our advertising to what they experience in our stores.
"This is much bigger than an advertising campaign. It's the first major brand expression of our transformation agenda and sets the foundation for how The Warehouse will show up as we continue to evolve the business.
"As we grow our network and refresh our offer, we're doing so with the same purpose we've always maintained: helping New Zealanders live better by making the things they need and want more accessible.
"Improvements customers will see across our stores and the launch of This is Warehouse Country are all part of that evolution. We wanted something big, bold and entertaining that celebrates our place in New Zealand life and reminds Kiwis that The Warehouse is a brand that's always on their side."

For TBWA\New Zealand, the challenge was to create a platform capable of helping a national retail icon rediscover its distinctiveness in a category increasingly defined by transactions rather than human connection.
Shane Bradnick, chief creative officer, TBWA\New Zealand, explained the answer was found in the emotional role The Warehouse plays beyond its stores.
"When we looked at The Warehouse, we realised its story isn't confined to what's happening inside the aisles. Its story is happening everywhere," Shane said.
"The insight wasn't just that The Warehouse is everywhere in New Zealand. It's that it's never missed a moment.
"For generations, Kiwis have turned to The Warehouse for life's biggest milestones and smallest occasions alike. The brand has been there for first homes, family celebrations, road trips, rainy days, sporting weekends and countless everyday memories.
"That gave us a powerful creative platform. Rather than talking about products or promotions, we wanted to tell the story of a retailer that's been quietly present in the background of Kiwi life for decades. When you start looking at New Zealand through that lens, you realise this really is Warehouse Country."

At the heart of the campaign is a powerful idea: The Warehouse has never missed a moment.
It's a role few brands can authentically claim. For close to 50 years, The Warehouse has shown up in communities across Aotearoa, helping Kiwis celebrate, prepare, connect and make the most of everyday life. The platform reframes The Warehouse not simply as a retailer, but as a presence woven into the nation's collective story, proving that wherever life happens, The Warehouse has never been far away.
Shot in various locations across urban and rural New Zealand by Good Oil and directed by Hamish Rothwell, the campaign features a collection of distinctly Kiwi vignettes, blending humour, warmth, and nostalgia with a reminder of the breadth and value offered by The Warehouse today. While much of the storytelling takes place outside the store, the creative also celebrates the familiar welcome customers receive inside, including moments that highlight the retailer's extensive range and everyday value proposition.
As the campaign declares: New Zealand isn't just where The Warehouse operates. This is Warehouse Country.
