OIKOS has launched a new campaign starring tennis world number one Carlos Alcaraz to mark the start of the brand's partnership with the athlete in the US market, ahead of a wider global rollout.
Created by BETC Paris and directed by Greg Bray through GANG Films Madrid, the spot centres on a young maintenance worker at Carlos' local training facility, who demonstrates the protein-packed power of OIKOS Pro yoghurt with an unexpectedly almighty throw.
Shot in Murcia, Spain, at the tennis star's original training facility, the film uses humour to showcase the strength-boosting benefits of OIKOS Pro, as a maintenance worker returns one of Carlos' balls with such power that it smashes through a wall, narrowly missing a man quietly eating his sandwich.
Director Greg Bray said, "Carlos was amazing to work with, I only had one-and-a-half hours with him in total, but managed a 10-minute briefing alone with him before we got into it. He got the intention and the comedy instantly, and really delivered."
