Wendy Chiu and Suryadipura Salleh join forces as co-executive creative directors (co-ECDs) to redefine the agency’s creative output and mentor the next generation of talent under a new, agile creative management structure.
With Wendy and Surya in place as part of the agency’s new collaborative creative leadership approach, VML Malaysia has doubled down on its commitment to connected creativity, while doubling up on creative excellence, alongside Didi Pirinyuang, chief creative officer, and ECD, Phoecus Lee. The pairing completes VML’s connected brand experience (BX), creative commerce (CO) and customer experience (CX) infinity loop to deliver disruptive, culture-shaping work the industry demands.
"Creativity has never been a solo sport, so why should creative leadership be? In a world that’s increasingly more fragmented, collaboration and connection are the keys to realising the shared ambition of producing work that doesn't just win awards, but wins in the real world,” said Didi Pirinyuang.
The appointment signals VML’s ambition to supercharge its position as a regional powerhouse, ensuring greater high-level oversight across its growing roster of blue-chip clients while fostering a more inclusive and responsive creative culture.
“Together, Wendy and Surya will operate as the senior power couple, leading key portfolios and championing the agency’s Human First creative culture that is data-informed, technology-enabled and built to connect people, brand and business.”
