Trim joins the creative ranks in West Adams, LA’s fast-growing production corridor

Trim Editing has opened its new Los Angeles office in West Adams, a dynamic hub alongside industry leaders like Somesuch, Mother, Stink, Superprime, and other industry trailblazers. This expansion deepens Trim’s US presence, offering a welcoming space for directors, clients, editors, and collaborators.

With the opening, Award-winning editor Jamie Foord joins as partner, leading the new West Coast studio with managing partner/executive producer Michael Miller.

Trim was founded in London in 2004 by Paul Hardcastle. Paul, alongside edit partner Tom Lindsay and managing partner Jemma Daniel, has built Trim into the multi-award-winning editorial house it is today. Trim's success is based on a strong focus on continued individual development and a commitment to fostering its creative relationships as well as emerging junior talent.

“Once we discovered West Adams, we knew that’s where we wanted to be,” says Paul Hardcastle. “It has a really strong identity that mirrors our London location and is so well located for people, whatever side they are based. The local community has been so welcoming, be it residents who pop in to see what we are up to or production partners who have also moved here.

We started Trim with the rule to chase creative ideas so the work can do the talking for us. Having LA partners Michael and Jamie with their similar creative sensibilities has been a fantastic start to this west coast chapter, and I'm excited to see where it goes.”

Tom Lindsay remarks, “We have created a wonderful space in London that has been the springboard for some of our most successful Editors. It is now time to bring that base and its culture to LA.”

“The time has come for us to establish an LA base that will support both existing and new relationships, adds Jemma Daniel. “The US has become such a large part of our work and the overall fabric of Trim. We have been so lucky to work with incredible directors and Agencies in LA, and we’re excited to continue our work in the US market.”

Jamie Foord brings decades of experience to the role, with a celebrated career that includes a long tenure at Rock Paper Scissors and multiple AICP and Clio Awards. A London native, he built his reputation in the U.S. as an editor known for turning a wide range of creative perspectives into emotionally resonant, story-driven work. His portfolio spans collaborations with industry-leading directors, as well as major brands including Nike, Apple, Tinder, Xbox, Calvin Klein, Ford, and the NBA.

“Trim was a no-brainer for me,” remarks Jamie Foord on joining the editing company as partner. “The work that Trim has made over the years is second to none, and to be so humble and decent simultaneously is pretty amazing. My long-term hope is to continue developing as an editor while helping to build something special with Trim US. I can’t wait for us to add more good people to our roster and see what we create.”

Michael Miller, Trim’s LA managing partner/EP, adds, “This is such a special time for us at Trim. We have Paul Hardcastle here in LA now, and couldn’t be more thrilled to have Jamie join us as a partner. He’s not only an amazing editor, but he really cares about nurturing the next generation of talent, which is super important to us. We’re also very proud of our new space in West Adams. Paul, Jamie, and I really enjoyed sourcing authentic furniture from the ’50s and ’60s. There’s a really nice energy that can be felt when you walk through the doors.”
