We’re returning to the sunny shores of Cannes for the LBB & Friends Beach - five full days of networking, learning, and connection at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity 2026.
Now in its 15th year, the LBB & Friends Beach was founded in 2010 with a simple mission: to make the Cannes experience easier, more accessible, and more enjoyable for our community. The idea was straightforward - create a relaxed, welcoming space within the festival where industry leaders, advertisers, and creative professionals could come together to meet, eat, and unwind.
With the support of returning content partner MurphyCobb, back for a fourth consecutive year, we’ll deliver a packed programme of inspiring panels and beachside conversations, bringing together some of the industry’s most influential voices throughout the week. Read on to find out all we have in store Monday 22nd June - Friday 26th June.
LBB invites its company members to submit names for the LBB Beach guest list.

In the scramble to adopt and embrace new tech, are we setting up our businesses and the industry for future success? With AI mopping up entry level jobs, are we cutting off our talent supply? How do we make sure we’re nurturing the next generation of tastemakers? And then there’s the question of cost - can we make the most of new technologies without becoming so hooked that we’re stung by the inevitable price hike? Our panel of business leaders, AI experts and sceptics discuss having your AI cake and eating it. Read more here.

Truth and trust are in short supply, but inspiration doesn't have to be. While the industry grapples with the 'Slop Age,' a new wave of media innovation is proving the platform itself can be the most powerful creative tool in a brand’s arsenal. Whether it’s the immersive scale of 3D OOH, the intimate power of audio, or the ‘analogue’ resurgence of print, media is taking centrestage. We’ve invited a diverse group of media owners and a top CCO to dig into how the best media companies are helping brands cut through the noise with ingenuity. Read more here.

Stop talking about what AI might do and see what it is actually doing for global brands. We pull back the curtain on the vendors re-inventing the canvas, demonstrating how high-end assets are generated from scratch using ethical, high-velocity generative workflows.
Moderator: Simon Sikorski, President, MurphyCobb
Panellists:

Today’s conversation builds on a fundamental shift: AI is no longer just powering media execution - it’s increasingly determining how campaigns are optimised end-to-end, from audience and channel decisions to the creative itself.
As AI takes on a more central role in optimisation, the critical question isn’t simply how to use it - but what signals are informing it, how those signals translate into decisions, and where marketers must maintain control to ensure outcomes are both effective and accountable.
In this session, we’ll explore how robust, accurate performance insights are becoming the foundation for continuous optimisation across the entire campaign lifecycle - connecting media, creative, and measurement in a single feedback loop. We’ll examine how brands and their partners are moving beyond siloed optimisation toward holistic campaign orchestration, where creative variation, audience targeting, and media investment are dynamically aligned to drive growth.
Moderator: Don, Sklenka, SVP of AI Optimization, Claritas

From hosting and distribution to ad monetisation and subscriptions, the companies here are building the infrastructure that turns category-defining shows into durable media businesses.

As the industry continues to debate how younger audiences are reshaping marketing, attention is turning to Gen Zalpha, the 13-19 year olds coming of age in a world of permanent connectivity, platform fluidity and limitless choice.
This session will tease early findings from new research from Channel 4 into this generation’s online worlds, set to launch later this year, as we unpack the implications of the research for marketeers.

On Tuesday 23rd June at 10:30 am Troy Ruhanen, Global CEO and Chairman, Omnicom Advertising, Drew Panayiotou, Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer, Keurig Dr Pepper, and Ryan Lehr, Co-Chief Creative Officer, Deutsch will convene on the LBB & Friends Beach to discuss how Dr Pepper turned 140 Years of legacy into one of the year's biggest TikTok moments.
For 140 years, Dr Pepper has built a brand around one-of-a-kind fans. From college football to the FYP, the brand has turned heritage into lore, creating ideas, characters, and worlds that people want to be part of.
When creator Romeo Bingham posted an organic 11-second TikTok singing, "Dr Pepper baby, it's good and nice," the internet took notice. Rather than simply chasing a viral moment, Dr Pepper recognized it as a pure display of fandom. Working alongside Deutsch, the brand moved quickly to pivot and place the fan generated anthem on the brand’s largest stage. By taking a TikTok ear worm to the College Football Playoff National Championship, Dr Pepper turned a creator's jingle into a national moment.

Brands that walk with confidence attract everything – customers, partners, talent, and capital. Confidence isn't just a feeling, it's a signal. Consumers, partners, and markets can sense when a brand knows exactly who it is and what it stands for, and they respond to it. This session explores how marketing leaders build and project that confidence through positioning, creative conviction, and the consistency that turns a brand point of view into a competitive advantage.
Panellists:

In a market where AI is flattening differentiation and consumers are drowning in content, the riskiest move a brand can make is the cautious one. Hedging and softening isn't avoiding failure, it's accelerating irrelevance. This session brings together C-Suite leaders who’ve led with boldness when the safer path was right in front of them.
Panellists:

Brand versus performance has been one of marketing's biggest arguments for more than a decade. Budgets, priorities and measurement frameworks have all been shaped by it. This session - bringing together experts from a variety of disciplines - makes the case that Category Entry Points (CEPs) offer a means for brand and performance to work together to drive growth.
Research presented last year at Cannes reinforced the premise that brands fail because they’re not thought of. And most choices are formed before consumers enter active consideration. CEPs explain how that pre-decision advantage is built: through consistent mental availability across the situations, needs and moments that matter most to buyers.
For marketers, the appeal of CEPs are that they are measurable, trackable and tied to market share growth - making them an excellent way to connect long-term brand building with shorter-term activation.
Rather than asking "how do we move consumers down the funnel?" we need to ask: "across the full range of situations in which our category is relevant, where is our brand mentally available — and where is it not?"
With marketing investment under increasing scrutiny, this session will show how CEPs can be employed across the marketing mix - with Allwyn, operator of the UK’s National Lottery, bringing real examples of how CEPs have played a key role for one of the UK’s most culturally embedded brands.

Cuts, cost of living perma-crisis, politics and apocalyptic AI predictions. Oof. It’s a bit grim right now. But at least adland has managed to retain its sense of humour. One of the big trends to emerge from LBB’s Immortal Awards and The Monthly Cut is the rise and rise of absurdist comedy from around the world - and audiences and judges alike can’t get enough of it. This panel showcases some of the funniest work to emerge from around the world this year - and the creatives behind it. Read more here.

Attention is the scarcest resource in advertising, and most creative briefs are still being decided the same way they were ten years ago. In this live, interactive session, Taide Guajardo (global chief brand officer at P&G) opens the room before Kelly Gordon (With Not For) and walks through five real creative decisions from one of this year's most anticipated new campaigns.
The audience considers vatious options, the panel reveals what actually happened, why it worked, and the practical takeaway you can use in your next brief. Leave with a usable toolkit for sharper, more effective work and a fresh angle on the audiences you are already paying to reach. Some of this year's sharpest creative thinking is coming from accessibility led decisions, and this session shows you how.Read more here.

In an economy where human creativity and AI work side by side, sports are redefining connection. Emotion, authenticity, and cultural relevance drive fandom, while technology and storytelling transform how games are experienced and how brands build loyalty. As data and creativity converge, leaders across media, marketing, and academia must balance scale with humanity and prepare the next generation to lead.
Moderator: Kristin Walker, Professor, University of South Carolina
Panellists:

As AI floods every channel with content, brands face a new challenge: how do you stay culturally relevant when everyone can generate noise? This panel explores why experiential PR is becoming one of the most powerful tools in modern communication — creating moments people don’t just scroll past, but actually feel, share and remember.
At the center of this shift: PR and creators. As trust in traditional advertising declines and content becomes increasingly automated, PR gains new relevance through credibility, cultural context and real-world storytelling. At the same time, creators have evolved from media extensions into cultural amplifiers — turning experiences into conversations that travel far beyond the event itself.
From cultural stunts and immersive brand worlds to creator-led experiences and earned-first storytelling, we discuss how brands can break through the algorithmic sameness of the AI era. Featuring insights from campaigns at the intersection of culture, technology and entertainment, the session highlights why bold ideas, human connection and unforgettable experiences are becoming the true competitive advantage.

Expect a candid conversation on what’s changing, what isn’t, and how brands can create work that people actually care about in 2026.

The language of advertising is struggling. The simple enough vocab that we’ve used for years to describe the companies that make up the industry just doesn’t seem to cut it any more. There are holding companies doing everything they can not to be holding companies. Production companies that look suspiciously like agencies. Indies with footprints and capabilities to rival any network. New micro-holding companies bubbling up in surprising places. And hoardes of roaming loan wolves and two-three people mercenary bands doing the work of agencies. This session pulls together leaders from across the industry to discuss these evolving business models, where they’re going and what the heck we should call them.
