Little Black Book’s Matt Cooper to host panel on Monday 22nd June, also featuring Jo Cotton, CEO UK of The Feed partners Omnicom Production

The second edition of The Feed will premiere at LBB & Friends Beach in Cannes on Monday 22nd June.

The creative excellence initiative, supported by Omnicom Production, brings the global creative community to connect, be inspired by, and stay ahead of trends shaping social and community-based advertising.

Having debuted in London in March, The Feed showcases best-in-class creativity shaping modern advertising in the digital age. A creative council, composed of platform, brand and agency leaders, identifies and champions the work that features on the showcase. Experts from The Kitchen, Coolr and McCann recently joined the council, which now features almost 40 members from some of the most influential companies shaping culture today.

The inaugural edition of The Feed showcased 13 projects from the likes of Apple, Chupa Chups, Currys, KFC and Pinterest. Ahead of the showcase, creative councillors from Snap, Reddit and Uncovered took part in a quick-fire panel discussing why social is now wholly inextricable from advertising.

For the Cannes edition, Little Black Book and Omnicom Production will start welcoming guests for a happy hour drink and networking from 16:00 CEST on Monday 22nd June. At 16:30 Little Black Book’s CEO, Matt Cooper, will usher guests to the panel area to kick off the second edition of The Feed. A panel of experts from Spotify, VML, VaynerX and Omnicom Production will discuss what success looks like, which metrics matter to advertisers and explore how companies can navigate the tensions between long-term brand building and a fast, reactionary world.

Matt will be joined by:

  • Jo Cotton, CEO UK, Omnicom Production
  • Kay Hsu, global head of creative lab, Spotify
  • Christina Miller, chief social officer, VML EMEA
  • Andrea Ogunbadejo, global head of production at VaynerX and president of Eva Nosidam Productions

Following the panel, a reel of best-in-class projects from the last few months - curated by the creative council - will be showcased on the big screens.

MODERATOR

Matt Cooper, CEO at Little Black Book

Matt Cooper has been working in the ad world for over 35 years. He began at Saatchi & Saatchi, London in the wild 1980s - before the internet and mobile phones but during the heyday of flash company cars and bottomless expense accounts. He later joined a small effects company called The Mill, now a top global post-production house with offices in London, New York, and Los Angeles.

While at The Mill, Matt launched BEAM.TV, the online advertising approval, archiving and distribution platform. It was during his global travels for BEAM that the idea for LBB was born: a need for a central platform to find the best companies, places to stay, client-friendly restaurants and creative resources in each city. What began as a series of books evolved into the global creative platform that LBB is today.
