The team at European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) share their Cannes plans for 2026

We’re excited to shine a spotlight on the brilliant partners who are bringing their energy, creativity, and expertise to the Croisette this year. Discover more about who’ll be on the ground in Cannes, what they’re planning throughout the week, and the conversations they’re most eager to be part of.

European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA), the voice of Europe’s communications and advertising agencies since 1959, heads to the LBB and Friends Beach at Cannes Lions 2026 to spotlight how Europe’s agency ecosystem is evolving in an era shaped by AI, new business models and shifting regulatory landscapes. The team will be on the Croisette discussing how agencies can thrive through collaboration, talent development and effectiveness, while turning industry change into opportunity across creativity, measurement and sustainable growth.

Q> What is your company name?

European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA)

Q> What is your company website?

https://eaca.eu/

Q> What is it your company does?

Shaping the Future of Europe’s Communications Industry Since 1959

For over six decades, we’ve been the voice and champion of Europe’s communications agencies. More than an association, we are a hub for collaboration, innovation, and excellence—bringing agencies together to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.

We empower agencies to succeed by:

Advocating for their interests with EU institutions

Connecting professionals to share knowledge and best practices

Promoting the highest professional and ethical standards

Nurturing talent and supporting career development

Celebrating excellence across the sector

Together, we strengthen Europe’s communications industry, drive professional growth, and set the standard for success.

Q> Give us your elevator pitch:

EACA is the voice of Europe’s ad and comms agencies. We hang out with EU policymakers to make sure the rules make sense for us, and we help agencies figure out how to survive—and even thrive—in the AI era, while staying smart, sustainable, and profitable.

Q> Who will be on the LBB Beach representing your company?

  • Charley Stoney, CEO
  • Kasia Gluszak, Effie project manager
  • Myriam Domínguez Seda, communications manager
  • Mónika Magyar, senior public affairs and legal advisor
  • Elva de Castro, digital marketing manager
  • Lina Mihaylova, membership officer

Q> Who are you hoping to meet on LBB Beach?

Members, CMOs, Effie jurors and partners. Cannes is one of the few opportunities we have to interact with our members in person and get into the nitty-gritty of effectiveness.

Q> How can people get in touch with you to set up a meeting?

Find us on the LBB & Friends Beach! We’re holding office hours on Wednesday from 10:15 – 12.00. Our resident public affairs specialist Mónika Magyar is also available for drop-in diagnostic sessions on Thursday, 14:00 – 16:00. Feel free to stop by for a chat on the hottest PA topics.

Q> What are you most looking forward to about Cannes in 2026?

Inspiration, standout talks, meeting interesting people, and turquoise water!

Q> What do you think will be the hottest topics this year on the Croisette?

The new agency business model, HI & AI, brand partnerships (sports, collabs etc.), retail media, content creators, cross media measurement.

Q> What are your top tips for people going to Cannes, the Lions, and the LBB Beach for the first time?

Kasia> Treat it like a marathon, not a sprint. Plan sessions you want to attend to secure your spot, but have some time for spontaneous meetings as well. Be open and chat to people, that will make the experience really valuable and fun.

Myriam> I wish someone had told me before my first Cannes that some of the best content isn’t necessarily inside the Palais. Many companies host “open beaches” or hubs along La Croisette where you can attend panels, workshops, networking sessions and other events throughout the week. Do a little research before you arrive, check their programmes, and register early whenever possible. Having a few key spots secured in advance can make your Cannes experience much smoother and more insightful.

Q> Do you have any restaurant or bar recommendations in Cannes you’d like to share?

Myriam> Chez Vincent et Nicolas.

Q> What is your favourite non-work activity while in Cannes for Lions?

Charley> The market stalls & cheap shops behind the expensive shopping streets are great!

Kasia> I think a swim in the sea should be mandatory.

Q> Lastly, what is your packing essential (or essentials) for the week at Cannes Lions?

Myriam> 100% would recommend comfy sandals

Kasia> Sunscreen! Water bottle and maybe a hat.

Charley> DON’T bring high heels or any clothing that isn’t natural fibre. Cotton and linen is a must!
