Burns has appointed Sergio Grande, Mikel Fernández and Daniela Botero as creative supervisors.
This decision reflects the agency's conviction to foster the growth of individuals who understand its culture, working methods, and creative ambition.
All three have long demonstrated that talent isn't just recruited—it is also cultivated. Sergio Grande and Mikel Fernández joined Burns five years ago from Sra. Rushmore and Leo Burnett, respectively; since then, they have produced some of the work that best defines the agency's current creative direction, such as ‘Unbelievably Long-Lasting’ for Old Spice and ‘Seleccionadores’ for Grefusa. Daniela Botero, who joined just over two years ago following stints at Ogilvy and DAVID Madrid, quickly became a key creative voice on the team, contributing to major campaigns like those for Old Spice and establishing herself as an essential part of Burns.
"We love being able to do this. There is an obsession in the industry with external hiring that sometimes makes people forget the obvious: an agency's best ambassadors are the people already inside. Sergio, Mikel, and Daniela have earned this, campaign by campaign, and seeing them grow here is exactly what Burns aims to be as an agency," explained Carla Alexander, managing director of Burns.
In their new roles, the three will work cross-functionally with the strategy, creative, content, and innovation teams, contributing to the development of an agency that remains committed to growing talent from within.
