Antony Crook Captures the Family Behind the Fighter as Shakur Stevenson Joins Montirex

​Black Dog Films director/photographer Antony Crook has directed a new campaign announcing undefeated four-weight world champion Shakur Stevenson as the latest athlete to join performance and lifestyle brand Montirex.

The intimate film looks beyond championship belts to the family bonds that have defined one of boxing's most accomplished careers. 25 fights, 25 wins, unbeaten. And through it all, the constant support and love of those around him. The bonds made between Shakur and his family run deep.

At the heart of the film is an unscripted phone conversation between Shakur and his grandfather, Wali Moses – the man who first introduced him to boxing – revealing a deeply personal portrait of sacrifice, ambition, and unwavering family support.

Antony, whose documentary-inspired approach has become a hallmark of his commercial work, built the film around this authentic conversation rather than conventional sporting iconography.

"In my research I came across Shakur talking about his brothers and sisters and him saying how he wants to win for them. I decided to record a phone call between Shakur and Wali and have them talk about family and their journey together, then build the edit around the conversation," said Antony Crook.

Wali recalls recognising his grandson's gift from the moment he first put on boxing gloves, reflecting on years spent studying the sport together and the values that continue to drive the champion today.

The film also includes the wider family, with a focus on loyalty, belief, and togetherness that mirror Montirex’s own brand values and Together Made ethos.

“Shakur’s journey is the perfect example of everything we believe in at Montirex. True success is never achieved alone, and backed by a strong community, his team, friends, and family, everything that Shakur has achieved is proof that collective effort leads to success,” said Montirex co-founder Daniel Yuen.

The campaign arrives at a landmark moment in Stevenson's career. Having become a four-division world champion earlier this year, the Olympic silver medallist has also recently signed with Dana White's Zuffa Boxing, underlining his position as one of the sport's biggest contemporary stars.
