Every family knows the moment. The car is unpacked, the last box is opened, and there's that impossible mix of pride and heartbreak - an arms-open welcome to a new chapter paired with a goodbye no one is quite ready for. Amazon's new ad for its Off to College campaign, 'The Delivery,' captures exactly that.
Developed by XCM, Amazon's in-house creative team, the film is built entirely on real, user-generated moments - authentic drop-off scenes captured by families themselves, where, again and again, parents and students are unpacking Amazon boxes side by side as they settle into college life. There are no actors, no scripts, no staged perfection. It's the milestone as families actually live it: a little chaotic, a little emotional, and deeply familiar.
'The Delivery' doesn't dramatise the drop-off - it reflects it back, reminding every parent and student who has lived it just how universal the experience is. And in doing so, it reinforces the campaign's core promise: that Amazon helps customers find comfort in the chaos of going to college - meeting families not just at the checkout, but at one of life's most pivotal, tender transitions. 'The Delivery' will run in both a :60 and :30 format across Social, OLV, and Cinema from August 11th through September 14th. The score features Canadian singer-songwriter Ezra Glatt, whose original composition underpins the emotional arc of the piece.
That 'one delivery away' promise isn't just a sentiment - it's a growing footprint. Amazon has expanded its Locker network to more than 750 locations across 500+ college and university campuses nationwide, giving more students than ever a secure, convenient way to receive orders close to where they live and study. Eligible orders can be delivered to a campus Locker at no additional cost, and students pick them up on their own schedule - after a long study session or between classes the next day.
