"Betway Clubhouse," produced by Common People Studio and directed by Virgil Ferragut, created with agency M&C Saatchi Sports & Entertainment.

The concept centres on a "Clubhouse" — a shared home where players and legends from across the sporting world come together. The production was a major logistical undertaking: shot over 15 days across 5 cities in 3 countries spanning 10 separate shoots, and bringing together around 27-30 sporting stars, including names like Formula 1 drivers, Premier League footballers, Springboks, UFC champions, baseball stars, and Thierry Henry. The finished TVC rolls out globally across TV, social, and other channels.

Virgil Ferragut (director) describes the film as constantly evolving through pre-production and the shoot itself, with creative ideas, narrative beats, and talent availability shifting throughout. The core creative challenge was making a shoot done wildly out of sequence across London, Manchester, Nice, and Johannesburg feel like one continuous, coherent "Clubhouse" world — requiring strict discipline around geography, performance, lighting, and camera language. He compares the drawn-out, multi-city shoot to making a small feature film rather than a conventional commercial, and credits the trust and collaboration with producer Erin and Common People Studio for keeping the process focused and enjoyable despite its scale.

Ramy Dance (Co-Founder/ECD at Common People Studio) echoes this, emphasizing the scale (multiple cities, countries, crews, and sports/entertainment icons) and the challenge of disguising that complexity so the end result feels seamless. He praises Ferragut for holding the creative vision together, cinematographer Pablo for consistency in the camera work, and producer Erin for keeping the production organized. He frames the project as a triumph of collaboration between Betway, M&C Saatchi, and the production team, ultimately delivering not just a film but a reusable brand world for Betway.
