Youngbloods VIC is hosting agency versus agency trivia this year, at the Great Northern Hotel in Carlton, VIC. This year, the price of gold surged to record highs ... and with it the value of advertising’s most coveted award, the golden brain.

Over the past four years, hard-fought battles of the minds have seen the award find home amongst the industry’s most brilliant. First, VML. Then DDB. Finally, Thinkerbell.

It’s been stolen, put up for ransom -- and won through dishonest measures.

And still, the yearning for the golden brain is stronger than ever. Some sources (Georgia Payne, Youngbloods VIC co-chair) argue that it’s even more valuable than a gold lion.

Andrew (AJ) McLaughlin, senior creative at defending agency Thinkerbell, said, “We’ve been training hard. We’ve just finished watching every ad ever. Our golden brain is staying put.”
