Scoundrel has appointed director Rune Milton to its roster for representation across Australia and New Zealand.
Rune’s work is defined by ambitious cinematic storytelling with a strong emotional core. He can build large, transporting worlds on screen, then pivot effortlessly into quieter, character-driven moments -- always with a sure hand on tone, performance, and pacing.
He’s also a director who’s as fluent in the technical craft as he is in story. Rune is known for embracing new tools and techniques when they serve the idea, and for treating sound, editorial rhythm, and finishing as essential parts of the filmmaking -- not afterthoughts.
Rune has collaborated with a range of leading global brands including Toyota, Citroën, Carlsberg, IKEA, and Nike. His recent body of work spans everything from high-concept, large-scale films to intimate, human stories, and has been recognised across major industry awards, including Cannes Lions, CICLOPE, ADC, and Clio.
Adrian Shapiro, founder and EP at Scoundrel, said, “Rune has that rare mix of emotional restraint and real cinematic scale. He’s incredible with performance, but he also has an editor’s brain -- he understands how films are shaped in the cut and elevated in post. That changes the entire process for the better. We’re genuinely excited to bring him to agencies and brands across Australia and New Zealand.”
Rune added, “I’m really pleased to be joining Scoundrel. The work coming out of Australia and New Zealand feels ambitious and taste driven, and Scoundrel has a strong point of view about craft. I love the full filmmaking process -- from shoot to post -- and I’m looking forward to making great work with teams across the region.”
Through Scoundrel, Rune will be available across Australia and New Zealand. For enquiries, contact adrian@scoundrel.co or kate@scoundrel.co.
