

Seven months ago, we started something that has very quickly become my absolute favourite part of the month: The Monthly Cut.
If you’re not familiar with it, The Monthly Cut is our way of shining a spotlight on the best creative work from around the world every single month. You can read more about why we launched it [here], but honestly, what it has grown into in just seven months has surpassed anything we imagined. It already feels like something we’ve been doing forever.
We’ve always written about the best work we spot around the world in our ‘Work of the Week’ series but we wanted to step it up. We now have a global creative council – a group of brilliant minds from across the industry and the world – who help us curate the most exciting work out there. Every month, we bring that work to life in front of a crowd at fantastic venues in London, New York, Sydney, Melbourne, Berlin and beyond.
And it’s not just us. This thing works and is free to attend because of the support and energy of our friends, partners and our sponsors. What started as a simple idea has turned into a monthly global event.
The Monthly Cut doesn't just feel like another industry meetup. For so many, it’s become a regular date in the diary where people can come together to learn, to celebrate creativity and to catch up with their community.
We’re showcasing the best global work and making it easy for people to share it with their colleagues and teams – the reel is downloadable straight after the first event of the month. All Standard and Premium LBB members (and anyone who works at those companies) have access to download, watch, share and be inspired wherever they are.
And here’s something I particularly love: The Monthly Cut has become a brilliant filter for award shows. It gives people a sense of what’s cutting through globally, which means if you’re thinking about entering work for awards, this is a great sense check before you spend a penny. Plus it’s a fantastic way to get your work seen by a huge audience.
Up until now LBB members were emailing in their submissions to our Creative Excellence team but as more and more people began reaching out asking how to get their work featured, we realised we needed to make it easier and faster for our community to send work in…
So we’ve built something new: a ‘Monthly Cut’ submission button right on LBB.
If your company has a membership, you can now go to your company page, find your work, and click one button. That’s it. With one click, your entry – with all the relevant data and credits - goes straight into consideration for The Monthly Cut.
Couldn’t be simpler.
This is a huge benefit to all our members – and crucially, there’s no additional cost to enter. We want the best work from around the world, and we want to make sure it’s seen.
