Anna Jackson, Rob Doubal and Lolly Thomson also return as part of the monthly creative excellence showcase from Little Black Book

The Monthly Cut has begun the new year by unveiling a refreshed quarterly Creative Council, featuring leaders from across the brand, agency and craft communities.

Launched last year, the creative excellence initiative from Little Black Book sees a curated reel of the best in global commercial creativity - selected by the Creative Council - delivered directly to LBB members every month.

Now into its tenth month, The Monthly Cut, proudly supported by Jukin Licensing, Shutterstock Studios, Telstra and Cape.io has spawned a global event series with multiple events happening worldwide each month, allowing the creative community to come together and celebrate the best new work. Showcase events, free for guests to attend, have been held in London, Dublin, Sydney, New York, Bristol and Melbourne with many more planned for 2026.

Selecting the work that makes ‘the Cut’ is a quarterly rotating council of industry experts, alongside Little Black Book’s managing editors Addison Capper, Alex Reeves, Brittney Rigby, Laura Swinton, and Zhenya Tsenzharyk, CEO Matt Cooper, and head of creative excellence Paul Monan.

The creative council - curating The Monthly Cut 010, 011 and 012 - includes:

The creative council will continue to rotate on a quarterly basis, with each group contributing to the curation of The Monthly Cut for three consecutive months. The fourth council will curate work that launches or first airs in January, February and March 2026.

Paul Monan, head of creative excellence at Little Black Book, says, “We’re excited to bring together another phenomenally smart and talented creative council, packed full of creative leaders all over the world. We have input and insight from brand, agency and craft communities in every region which makes the Cut a properly global reflection of the best our industry has to offer right now. Launching and growing the initiative in 2025 was a lot of fun and this year things are going to step to another level. With the support of a number of global partners we’re going to ramp up the event series and make the reel even more accessible to our community.”

As of February 1st The Monthly Cut reel, with the support of its partners, is now free-to-view and download by all Little Black Book members.
