Protein is all the rage nowadays -- there's hardly a food product left on the shelves that doesn't have a protein-enriched version. This is especially helpful for all the people starting to exercise again post holidays indulgence. Dunkin’ is joining the trend, adding protein milk to its menu in 2026, as well as some other protein-forward beverages and bites.
To mark the launch, the coffee and doughnut chain has teamed up with three-time Grammy Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion to highlight its new Protein Refreshers. Developed with Artists Equity, the studio founded by actors Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, 'Dunk N’ Pump' introduces Megan as 'Pro-Tina' a high-energy Jazzercise-inspired workout leader fuelled by the new protein-rich drinks.
Set to an original track created by Megan, the film -- directed by Luke Orlando via SixTwentySix -- shows 'Pro-Tina' and a production crew filming the instructional dance -- a retro workout medium perhaps revitalised in the public consciousness by the 2024 hit movie 'The Substance'.
Fortunately, this playfully tongue-in-cheek spot is far from that movie's body horror, and the only 'Sparkle' in sight is the shimmering costume and set design in those unmistakable Dunkin' hues.
“We wanted an entertaining way to introduce a protein drink without the usual seriousness tied to workout recovery,” shared Jason Karley, executive creative director at Artists Equity, speaking with LBB. “Megan's trademark playfulness and sense of humour, leading an '80s-inspired jazzercise workout all about sipping and swirling, was exactly the energy we wanted for ‘Dunk N’ Pump’. I think Megan learned the choreography in less time than it takes to watch the film too."

“Teaming up with Dunkin’ to bring my new Mango Protein Refresher to life has been such an exciting experience, and I can’t wait for the Hotties to try it,” said Megan Thee Stallion. “Whether you’re drinking it to boost your fitness routine or just to power through a busy day, it’s the perfect drink for any occasion.”
The campaign extends beyond the film with a series of limited-edition merch drops and partnerships.

The Dunk N’ Pump Collection, a retro-inspired workout apparel collection, is available now exclusively at DunkinRunsOnMerch.com. And the Dunkin’ x Bala® Collaboration, offers fans a limited set of two-pound Bala Bangles in signature Dunkin’ colours, launching January 12th. Dunkin' has also partnered with [solidcore] studios to run special training classes 'powered by Dunkin' in select locations from January 14th to 16th.
“We saw protein milk as a natural way to give our guests more flexibility in how they enjoy the Dunkin’ menu throughout the day,” said Jill Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’. “Protein Milk tastes great across coffee, lattes and refreshers without changing the flavours guests already love, and we’re excited to support the launch in unexpected ways.”
