DB Breweries Cracks Open Flavoured Beers with 'Export Great Walk'

Export is taking the scenic route into summer with the launch of its ‘Export Great Walk’. The one-day-only trek takes place on Saturday November 15th and is designed for those who love the outdoors and kicking back with a cold one, but missed out on spots for one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, which book out months in advance, sometimes in minutes.

The six-kilometre trail winds through the Pahi track in the Coromandel, one of the country’s first privately operated walks, offering sweeping views of Great Barrier Island, native bush and untouched coastline. It finishes where great walks should: in nature’s beer garden, complete with comfy beach chairs, shady umbrellas, lawn games, and ocean views.

The campaign marks the launch of Export Crushed, Export’s new evolution of flavoured beer available in two flavours, Pineapple and Lemon, and is backed by a comprehensive PR and media strategy led by Special PR, with Dentsu Aotearoa driving the integrated media approach.

DB Breweries senior marketing manager, Kate Baars, said, “We know how quickly the Great Walks book out, so we wanted to give Kiwis another way to experience an epic trail this summer, one that ends with a cold Export Crushed in hand.

The Export Great Walk is a ticketed experience, priced at $60 per person, with tickets available to purchase from 9.00am, Monday October 20th.

Each ticket includes (very efficient) private transport for the entirety of the journey from Auckland directly to the Pahi trailhead and back, light snacks and drinks, and of course the Export Crushed Beer Garden experience.

The all-day experience will run from 9.00am to 7.30pm, with approximately 3 hours allocated for the trail and 2 hours to enjoy the Export Beer Garden.
