To launch Comfort’s Bridgerton Secrets fabric conditioner line in Brazil, creative agency Dark Kitchen Creatives teamed up with Netflix and MyMama director Quinto to immerse viewers in the show’s regal atmosphere.
The campaign’s hero film stars Hugh Sachs, who plays Brimsley in the Netflix series, and dives into a search for the whereabouts of the court’s missing flowers. The queen’s loyal squire searches the luxurious stately home and grounds, only to discover a hidden laboratory where the flowers’ essence has been distilled into products for Unilever’s leading fabric conditioner brand.
“Bringing Hugh Sachs to the centre of the narrative was a strategic decision to connect Bridgerton’s aspirational universe to Comfort’s most fragrant royal secret,” said Larissa Rezek, fabric conditioners marketing manager at Unilever Brazil. “The campaign combines high fragrance performance with a sensory experience worthy of royalty, transforming the laundry routine into a moment of indulgence.”
Guilherme Jahara, founder and CCO of Dark Kitchen Creatives tells LBB that fragrance is the number one purchase driver in the category for Brazilians, and so the scent had to be as much of a hero in the campaign as Brimsley. “Bridgerton, in turn, is a universe filled with flowers, gardens and hidden secrets; that became the natural bridge,” he says.
The production was filmed on a sustainable set, using 26 metres of natural flowers which, after filming, were distributed to the crew and suppliers to avoid waste.

“From there, the concept of secrets unfolded naturally,” he continues. “Just like the secrets that circulate within the Bridgerton storylines, this product carries its own secret, the fragrance extracted from that romantic floral universe.”
According to Guilherme, the ‘Bridgerton’ partnership presented an ideal opportunity to explore Comfort’s evolving social-first communication model, “where culture, aesthetics and shareability drive engagement.” Focused on digital and social channels with a strong influencer presence, the campaign uses the series’ visual language and weaves an intriguing narrative instead of just focusing on the products. The CCO suggests this “playful layer of fantasy” helps connect existing fans with the brand and ensures the work lives naturally on people’s feeds.
“We also designed the campaign with longevity in mind,” says Guilherme. “Our goal was to keep audiences engaged for more than two months through a consistent flow of content, balancing both brand say and other say through influencers and creators.” To achieve this, the team developed micro-series narratives that expand the story and even held sensory activations during Carnaval last month to bring the ‘fragrance of royalty’ to the Brazilian public.

“The ecosystem was built through collaboration across multiple partners; influencer management agencies, PR teams, media agencies and activation partners were all connected to deliver different parts of the strategy,” he says. “We also worked alongside media publishers to amplify the story and bring the narrative into editorial and cultural conversations. Many of these decisions were guided by social listening and by insights drawn from the ‘Bridgerton’ fandom. Understanding how audiences interact with the series, its aesthetics, and its storytelling helped shape a content strategy that felt authentic and continuously engaging.”
When translating Bridgerton’s highly stylised fictional universe into this varied suite of activations, the biggest challenge became grounding it in a tangible product benefit – the fragrance of the very real fabric conditioner. The solution? Focusing on the series’ floral identity – the gardens, the bouquets, and the opulence that makes up the show’s look.
“By building the narrative around the idea that Comfort Secrets Bridgerton had captured that essence and transformed it into a special and unique fragrance, we created a natural bridge between fantasy and product truth,” says Guilherme. “Another challenge was orchestrating all available touchpoints with ideas that could genuinely engage people, not only the ‘Bridgerton’ fan base, but also broader communities and consumers. This required a clear understanding of the role of each channel and how each piece of content could contribute to the overall story.
“Making all these touchpoints relevant and connected while working within a limited budget was also part of the challenge,” he continues. “In the end, this approach allowed the campaign to feel immersive and imaginative, while still reinforcing the most important attribute in the fabric conditioner category in Brazil: fragrance.”
The Comfort Bridgerton Secrets line is available at major retail outlets across Brazil, with the campaign continuing across digital and social channels.
