In partnership with AWARD, the creative leaders and LBB’s Tess Connery-Britten pick their favourite work from Bonfire Australia, TBWA\New Zealand, and Motion Sickness

In partnership with AWARD, here is LBB AUNZ’s August Work of the Month, chosen by Thinkerbell's Jim Ingram, Federation's Brad Collett, and LBB news and features editor Tess Connery-Britten.

Bonfire Australia and Skull Island Prawns: Eat the Wild

Jim Ingram -- national chief tinker, Thinkerbell

Underwater guitar-shredding, metal-loving prawns. What’s there not to love about this work for Skull Island Prawns, from Austral Fisheries?

But apart from the batshit bonkers part of this idea, I actually value the strategic intent too. It’s very hard ‘branding’ things that you can’t bung a logo on. Like prawns. But giving their provenance a brand to build from is the next best thing. And prawns coming from Skull Island, linked to being truly wild caught (as opposed to farm grown), is a great story to tell. Makes for interesting conversation around the barbie at least…

TBWA\New Zealand and The Warehouse: This Is Warehouse Country

Brad Collett -- chief creative officer, Federation

I love that The Warehouse has rediscovered itself, stepping away from chasing Kmart’s clinical cool and returning to the warmth, character and localness that made it iconic. These beautifully simple spots have the confidence and breathing room to draw you into each story. Following the return of the Kiwi mascot, they feel like another reclamation of the brand’s Kiwi DNA.

Motion Sickness and Sealord: Feed Them Beautiful

Tess Connery-Britten -- AUNZ news and features editor, LBB

Channelling 'Zoolander' for pets to introduce a new product to the market? I'm sold.

There are a lot of tropes in the cluttered pet food category. Not many overlap with those found in the just-as-cluttered beauty and wellness category. And yet, Motion Sickness has found a way to blend the two.

For Sealord New Zealand’s new seafood-only pet food brand, Skipper, the agency borrowed the visual language of beauty advertising to point to what good nutrition looks like on the outside. Shiny fur, clear eyes, and strong nails are signs of health.

And when those pampered pets often have social media accounts and are treated as influencers in their own right, the leap doesn't seem that great after all.
