Elena De Palma has edited commercials for brands such as Three Mobile, Marks & Spencer, Duke Health, Air China, and CRISIS

Work Editorial has added London-based editor Elena De Palma to its roster of editing talent. A versatile storyteller, Elena’s ability to shape feelings, rhythm, and meaning has made her a highly sought-after collaborator for directors, agencies and brands.

Intuitively pacing on-camera performances and finding the emotional honesty underpinning each story, Elena’s belief that editing is an intimate part of filmmaking allows her to adapt to a variety of genres and tones. From comedic spots to sensitive documentary-style commercials and VFX-forward films, Elena’s gift for unearthing the creative vision has been honed through her judicious, tasteful cuts. Often editing on location, Elena is a hands-on participant in the filmmaking process, deeply embedding herself in shaping each film’s narrative from its early stages, whenever possible. Her editing style is informed by her cinematic instincts and a focus on molding the human connection at the centre of each piece.

Elena is known for her work editing the heart-warming Super Bowl commercial ‘The Wonder of Us’ for Coca-Cola, directed by Alma Har’el, as well as her past collaboration on the multiple award-winning ‘#YouDrive’ spot for Mercedes-Benz, directed by Yann Demange. Her recent work with Ben Liam Jones includes the inspiring ‘A Nation Delivers’ for An Post and ‘Ray’ for Arthritis Research UK. Elena cut the joyful and subversive, yet romantic ‘First Dates’ for Citroën, directed by Camila Zapiola. Additionally, she has edited commercials for brands such as Three Mobile, Marks & Spencer, Duke Health, Air China, and CRISIS, a leading UK-based charity dedicated to fighting homelessness.

She remarked on signing with the renowned edit house, “Work has always represented editors who truly love the craft — people who are both intuitive storytellers and fearless experimenters. I’ve admired their work for years; it consistently showcases elegance, surprise, and emotional intelligence. Joining Work feels like a natural next step — to be surrounded by a collective of editors who challenge and inspire each other creatively.”

“Having Elena join us in the London office is so fantastic; we are all excited for our future together. She has a wonderful body of work, is great company and is such a talented editor,” added Jane Dilworth, founding partner of Work Editorial.
