Walmart has taken viewers on a second trip to the Dr. Seuss-inspired land of WhoKnewVille, this time revealing that Walton Goggins is The Grinch.
Created by a collection of Publicis Groupe agencies including Fallon, Leo New York, the community, CONTENDER, and Digitas, and directed by Marc Webb through RadicalMedia, the spot sees The Grinch and Mindy Lou Who on a mission to become the heroes of WhoKnewVille.
Specifically, the pair set about telling the whimsical town that Walmart is the place to go to secure their Black Friday bargains this year, and that they can do it without any chaos thanks to the Walmart app.
The reveal came on the same day that the retailer unveiled its new Black Friday deals – available from November 25th to 30th – along with an exclusive first look at its Cyber Monday deals rolling out on December 1st.

It’s not the first time Walton has teamed up with Walmart, having fronted its ‘Who Knew’ campaign earlier this fall, where he tapped into his trademark charm to prove the retailer has the products needed for every situation, from a sauna to a bear hunt. The reveal also feeds into wider conversations from fans, who were adamant that the actor resembled The Grinch after he starred on the cover of Cultured Magazine in April 2025.
“When I got the invitation to go on this journey with Walmart, to step into the green, furry shoes of this iconic literary figure, it was a bit overwhelming,” says Walton Goggins. “I’m excited to bring together Walmart's Black Friday Deals and Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch for the holidays. Is there a better combination? I don't think so.”
