

Ahead of the holiday season, New Yorkers can expect to see a pop of United Airlines blue atop nearly 800 yellow cabs.
The airline is relaunching its real-time taxi-topper campaign showing live drive time comparisons between JFK and Newark – reminding fliers that, in some cases, choosing EWR can make a big difference in their travel time.
The digital toppers display up-to-the-minute drive time based on the cab’s exact location and ETA to the two airports. The campaign also includes cheeky nods to Newark airport that will cycle through the toppers.
The campaign builds on United’s operation at Newark experiencing a historic turnaround from its challenges this spring. United at Newark had its best operational summer ever and Newark emerged as the most on-time airport in the New York City area over the recent Thanksgiving travel rush.
United operates more than 350 daily flights to over 160 destinations worldwide from EWR. This holiday season, United will transport more than one million passengers through Newark between December 18th and January 6th.
