The eighth edition of The Monthly Cut is imminent and it’s the final week to submit your work to be considered for inclusion. If you’ve been part of a project that aired, launched or appeared for the first time in November then you can make ‘the Cut’.
The creative excellence initiative from Little Black Book and The Immortal Awards sees a curated reel of the best in global commercial creativity screened around the world and delivered directly to LBB’s Standard and Premium members every month.
Last month saw the introduction of a new, simplified way of submitting work into The Monthly Cut. The new button - which submits LBB member company’s assets directly into consideration - speeds up the process by allowing entrants to submit with one click. Its introduction saw a record number of submissions come through in October, with over 100 projects added to the shortlist alongside the work already selected by the LBB team.
The seventh edition - The Monthly Cut 007 - went live at the start of November, featuring work for Burberry, Cerveza Victoria, OpenAI, Uber and more, crafted by agencies and studios including Uncommon, SMUGGLER, Saatchi & Saatchi, Wieden+Kennedy, Studio RM and many more.
This quarter sees a refreshed creative council, composed of industry leaders from the brand, agency and craft worlds, curate the work that features on the reel.
Is my work eligible for this edition of The Monthly Cut?
Work from all Little Black Book members is eligible for inclusion and any project that launched globally from November 1st onwards could feature on this month’s reel. Any work that is published on the platform from November 28th onwards will be part of the next edition.
My work is eligible and already on Little Black Book, is that okay?
If your work has been covered as a news story on Little Black Book then it will have been reviewed by our team and is under consideration.
My work is on Little Black Book but not as part of a news story, what now?
Little Black Book created a new tool last month, making it even quicker to submit your work into The Monthly Cut. If your company has a membership, you can now go to your company page, find your work, and click ‘The Monthly Cut’ button. That’s it. With one click, your entry – with all the relevant data and credits - goes straight into consideration for The Monthly Cut.
My work isn’t on Little Black Book yet, how do I change that?
To ensure your work is considered for the next edition of The Monthly Cut it will need to be uploaded onto Little Black Book, either as part of a news story or into the Creative Library, by Friday 28th November.
To upload work to the Creative Library, simply log into Little Black Book and head to My LBB. From there, click on WORK and then ADD NEW WORK. This video explains How to Upload Work to LBB.
Who is curating the work that features on The Monthly Cut?
Selecting the work that makes ‘the Cut’ will be a rotating quarterly council of industry experts, alongside Little Black Book’s managing editors Addison Capper (Americas), Alex Reeves (EMEA), Brittney Rigby (AUNZ), and Laura Swinton Gupta (Global), CEO Matt Cooper, and head of creative excellence Paul Monan.
The Monthly Cut 008 will be available to all Standard and Premium members in November
