Reading this? Well, you’re going to DIE… which is exactly what The Andy Warhol Museum’s newest exhibition, Vanitas, explores.
To promote the exhibit, BarkleyOKRP created The Warhol Death Kit, a limited-edition art box that invites people to reframe death as a final expression of their life. Think of it as part memento mori, part design object — with tongue-in-cheek tools for crafting your own legacy, including:
- A “Write Your Own Eulogy” guidebook (because tales of your glory should not be trusted to just anyone).
- A worksheet for your “in lieu of flowers” requests. For example…”In lieu of flowers, dress like the deceased”.
- Coloring sheets to help you toy with what your tombstone will look like.
- A “What to Do With Your Hands” coffin-pose poster; featuring oft-overlooked options!
- Heaven/Hell voting paddles for your loved ones to vote on where you’ll end up.
- A recordable button to leave behind for your loved ones. Will you say something haunting or loving?
- And the official Vanitas exhibition art book
