Terri & Sandy Welcomes Amy Ferguson as First Chief Creative Officer

Independent advertising agency Terri & Sandy has hired Amy Ferguson as its first chief creative officer. Amy, whose award-winning career spans creative leadership at MullenLowe, TBWA/Chiat/Day and most recently Special Group, will join the agency as partner, alongside president Peyton Sutton and co-founder and CEO Sandy Greenberg.

Amy brings a creative legacy to Terri & Sandy, defined by bold, culturally impactful campaigns for leading national and global brands. Most notably, as chief creative officer of TBWA/Chiat Day, she and her team broke the Internet with the launch of Hilton’s 10-minute TikTok, 'The Ad You Stay In,' part of the hotel brand’s first-ever global platform launch, 'For the Stay.' She also helmed Adidas’s renowned campaign, 'Billie Jean King Your Shoes', landing 10 Cannes Lions, three D&AD Pencils and four Gold Clios.

Prior to Chiat, Amy helped open and establish the New York office of MullenLowe as creative director where she led the JetBlue account and launched the viral FlyBabies activation, turning flyers’ frustrations with crying babies into moments of pure celebration.

Most recently, as partner and CCO at Special NY, Amy led the New York office to double its size, winning Planet Fitness, the National Peanut Board and Bumble – the latter for which the agency recently launched a new platform, 'For the Love of Love.'

As Terri & Sandy’s first chief creative officer, Amy will ignite a bold new era of creativity for the agency, expanding its ability to deliver clients culturally resonant ideas that thrive cross-platform. The agency’s esteemed roster of clients includes: Princess Cruises, Freshpet, Revlon, Welch’s, My/Mochi, and Mars’ brand, Kevin’s Natural Foods.

Amy has been named to Adweek’s Creative 100, Ad Age’s 'Creatives to Watch' list, the Clios Creators list, Business Insider’s Most Creative Women in Advertising and Campaign US’s 40 Over 40. She served as a jury member for the One Show, the Clios, AICP and D&AD, each of which has also honoured her work. In 2024, she served as jury president for the Cannes Lions Social and Influencer jury, and has recently been named a 2026 Clios Jury President.

“My entire career has been about creating amazing work while also growing teams and agencies with care and heart. Despite what anyone says, it’s an amazing time to be in advertising and I have the opportunity to lead a New York based female founded indie agency,” said Amy. “The ambition is clear, build on what Terri & Sandy have created, grow the office and clients and define the creative future of this fantastic agency.”

Along with Amy’s appointment, Peyton Sutton has been named Partner of Terri & Sandy. Since assuming the President role last May upon founding partner Terri Meyer’s retirement, the agency has achieved 15% year-over-year growth, was named Ad Age’s 2025 Independent Agency of the Year and attracted top talent including Fearless Girl co-creator Tali Gumbiner and award-winning creative director Rafa Oliviera.

Sandy Greenberg, who is handing the creative baton to Ferguson, will continue in her role as CEO.

About the selection process, Sandy says, “Ever since Amy freelanced for us years ago, I’ve been following her many epic successes. So, when we started our search, I told Peyton, ‘I want someone like Amy Ferguson’ - never thinking we would get the real Amy Ferguson.”

Amy officially steps in as CCO and partner of Terri & Sandy on October 20th.
