Spotify 2025 Wrapped Goes Big with UK Film and Fan Experiences

With films, pop-ups, and Wrapped Party, Spotify transforms listening stats into a personal, social experience

Spotify has debuted its 2025 Wrapped campaign – turning a year of listening into a bold, expressive visual mixtape designed for over 700M fans around the world.

To celebrate, Spotify UK is launching its most social-focussed campaign ever, designed to engage with a young and online audience with alive, dynamic, and unmistakably personal elements new for 2025.

Here’s a rundown of this year’s campaign and how it stands out from years’ past.

UK Campaign Film

For the very first time, Spotify is unveiling Wrapped with a cinematic film specifically for the UK. This isn’t just a recap - it’s a celebration of the artists, fans and moments that defined culture in 2025.

Directed by the visionary video director KC Locke, known for his distinctive and powerful storytelling, the film features an extraordinary ensemble of the year's biggest UK artists, including Central Cee, PinkPantheress, Lewis Capaldi, JADE, Nemzzz, Skye Newman, Kingfishr, Sammy Virji and Sasha Keable. Plus cameos from cultural icons like Louis Theroux, Bus Aunty, Al Nash, and Grime Gran, creating a truly unique snapshot of the year.

KC Locke’s work has been nominated for Video of the Year at the MOBOs 2025 for his critically acclaimed music video Meekz – 'Mini Me’s'. Additionally, he has received a nomination for Best Rap Video at the UKMVAs 2024, alongside previous prestigious nominations including Best Director at the UKMVAs in 2021 and Best New Director in 2020.

The film release also includes a media buy which will see Spotify dominate in one of the ad breaks available for I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! It is a bespoke, high impact media placement that has never been done before on BVOD. I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here is currently the UK’s biggest entertainment launch for any channel this year and the launch has had the highest share of 16-34s since Euro 2024 on ITV.

This first-of-its-kind BVOD buy positions Spotify as the dominating advertiser during the commercial break, giving Wrapped unmatched visibility during one of the most-watched moments on ITV.

  • First burst: 3rd December @ 6pm to 4th December @ 10pm, aligning with the launch of Wrapped
  • Second burst: 6th December @ 6pm to 7th December @ 11:59pm, aligning with the I’m A Celeb final

Celebrating 2025’s Defining Artists With Fan Destinations: This year, Spotify is paying tribute to the artists who defined 2025 in an entirely new way – celebrating cultural moments in music with unique pop-ups across London and Manchester, celebrating some of the UK’s most loved artists, including:

JADE’s Plastic Box (London): 2025’s It-Girl, JADE will make a surprise appearance on London’s Southbank in a perspex box, a nod to her 2025 hit ‘Plastic Box’

Pink’s Phone Booth (London): Paying homage to Fancy That, we’re reimagining an icon of British culture with a phone booth next to Tower Bridge wrapped in PinkPantheress’s signature tartan print.

Central Cee (London): In Shepherd’s Bush Green, an oversized chain will be draped over a billboard to celebrate his year in music.

Oasis (Manchester): A wall length mural and towering tambourine for Mancunian royalty will appear referencing one of 2025’s biggest tours.

For the first time ever, Spotify is introducing a new feature that will change the way users interact and share their Wrapped results: Wrapped Party.

Wrapped Party turns your listening stats into a live experience with your friends, where you can earn fun awards like 'Most Obsessed Fan,' 'Absolute Chaos,' 'Onion Chopper,' and 'Eternal Optimist,' making your Wrapped results easier and more fun to compare with other users. The host can invite up to nine team members to compare stats so you can find out who has the most 'Early Bird' tracks or 'Pure Angst' vibes amongst the team.

Spotify has worked with two groups of creators, allowing them to host their own Wrapped Parties:

  • Rita B, Erica, Kimberley, Shelen & Av
  • Specs, Tyrique & PK Humble

Design approach

Drawing on the DIY audio culture of the ’80s and ’90s, this year’s design honours the era of hand-made mixtapes, where doodles and inscriptions told personal stories. Those tactile cues influence our art direction, inspired by club flyers and underground subcultures that thrived on creativity. In this way, 2025 Wrapped bridges analogue nostalgia with the highly digital world of today.
