Sinead Roarty joins VML Czechia as executive creative director. A seasoned creative professional with more than twenty years’ experience across global agency networks, she has held leadership roles at McCann Worldgroup, JWT and Wunderman Thompson. Her work has earned over 80 international awards and consistently extends beyond traditional advertising.
Most recently based in New York as EVP, ECD at McCann Worldgroup, Sinead led teams working on brands including Reckitt, Sanofi, L’Oréal and LEGO, while also helping shape the creative responses for multiple new business wins.
Her work frequently moves beyond conventional advertising formats and into broader cultural conversations. Notable projects include 'About Ducking Time' for Durex, 'I Touch Myself Project' with Serena Williams, which reached over one billion people, and 'Subway Live Feed', a global data-led initiative that tracked 40,000 POS devices across 60 countries and helped provide meals for millions of people in need.
Sinead Roarty joins the creative team that includes recently promoted creative directors Karla Calheiros and Wanslez Quaresma, who were part of the team behind the Cannes Grand Prix winning campaign for KitKat. The department is led by chief creative officer Jake Barrow and the agency headed by CEO Iva Welker.
“I’m thrilled to join Jake, Iva, and all the insanely talented humans at VML Prague. Their Grand Prix at Cannes last year only adds to the pressure, ah, I meant excitement. Before McCann WG New York, I spent many happy years at Ogilvy, JWT and Wunderman Thompson, so in many ways, this feels like coming home to the WPP family,” says Sinead.
“We’re glad Sinead chose VML Czechia as her next chapter. Bringing her in, alongside Wanslez and Karla, proves our commitment to world-class creativity and giving our clients access to it,” says Jake Barrow, chief creative officer at VML Czechia, who, like Sinead, is originally from Australia.
