Maisie Peters and Amelia Dimoldenberg Bring The Bodyguard to the TikTok Age

Chart topping singer and songwriter Maisie Peters has unveiled the highly anticipated music video for her latest single, 'My Regards', a playful and bold homage to the iconic film The Bodyguard. Inspired by the lyric 'call me Kevin Costner the way I’m guarding his body,' Maisie teamed up with celebrated British personality Amelia Dimoldenberg for her music video directorial debut, putting a modern spin on the 1992 classic. Produced by Untold Studios, the video features Maisie stepping into the role of a security guard protecting a movie star, played by overcompensating creator and star Benito Skinner.

“Directing this music video for Maisie has been an absolute joy,” shared Amelia. “From the moment I heard the track, I knew we had to lean into her gift for storytelling. I thought it would be interesting to subvert the 'possessive girlfriend' trope by making Maisie a literal bodyguard. It felt like a fun way to heighten the narrative.”

The music video follows Maisie’s’ recent teaser for her upcoming album, Florescence, out on May 15, in which Maisie and Amelia recreate the iconic stuffed olive scene from the cult-favourite film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, casting Georgia Groome to re-enact the moment, alongside Maisie. The teaser went viral on TikTok, with fans joking that it was a long-awaited sequel to the film. The collaboration highlights the effortless chemistry between the pair, as they continue to blend humour, charm, and inventive storytelling in each project they create together.
