Prior to joining Lucky Generals, Tamara Conyngham was previously the head of strategy at Droga5

Lucky Generals has appointed Tamara Conyngham as its new strategy partner, part of the agency’s continued growth and ambition to deliver bold, culturally relevant work for its expanding roster of clients.

Previously the head of strategy at Droga5, she brings a track record of developing strategies that not only win campaigns but also rally teams and clients alike around ideas that thrive in the real world. She is known for mentoring and inspiring junior talent, as well as being an influential voice in shaping standout work that drives both client growth and cultural impact.

The appointment reunites Tamara with Damien Le Castrec, chief strategy officer at Lucky Generals, with whom she worked closely at Droga5, ensuring a smooth transition to her new role. Reporting into him again, she will work across the agency’s major clients, shaping next-generation strategies, driving the agency’s strategic product, and ensuring Lucky Generals continues to deliver best-in-class work while delivering on Le Castrec’s belief that “big briefs demand big thinkers”.

Tamara joins on the back of Lucky Generals’ exceptional recent growth, including new business wins such as Irn Bru and Asda, and the high-profile appointments of Vairi MacLennan as head of content and Nathan Crawford as executive design director.

Damien said, “After some significant wins, we needed another big thinker to take on some of the UK’s biggest briefs. A thinker who delivers brilliant, effective work. Who can rally an entire organisation behind an idea, but also a thinker who is fun to be with. Having worked with Tamara before, there was no doubt she was the thinker our team, agency and clients needed.”

Tamara added, “I have always admired what Lucky’s stands for, being ‘a creative company for people on a mission’, and I think this ethos really shines through in their brilliant catalogue of creative and genuinely impactful work, which is why I’m so delighted to be joining them. My favourite part about this job is getting to work with lots of weird and wonderful thinkers to get to the big, bold and simple ideas you could never get to on your own, that’s what I’m most excited for.”
