Life360’s Latest Musical Proves Dogs Really Are the Best Family Members

To launch its new Pet GPS tracker, Life360 reunites with Alto and MJZ for 'All the Best People Are Dogs,' a hilarious ode to man’s most dependable companion

They may not share your last name or your family's signature dimples, but let’s be real: your dog is the best part of your family. More loyal than your cousin, less complicated than your spouse, and far more reliable than most people, they’ve earned the title every owner gives them anyway: family. In fact, according to a recent study, six out of 10 (58%) pet owners prefer to spend time with their pets when feeling stressed, putting pets ahead of partners, family, children or friends.

Now, Life360 has decided to launch a brand new pet tracker, Pet GPS, to family-proof dogs in one app with the rest of your family’s humans and things. To celebrate the launch—and the blissful simplicity of a friendship free of human hangups and bad takes—Life360 is following its smash-hit musical ('I Think of You (Dying)') with a brand new comedic spectacular dedicated to man's best friend.

The new animated musical, titled 'All the Best People are Dogs,' was developed by the brand’s creative agency Alto. It’s the latest outside-the-box extension of Life360’s award-winning 'Family-Proof Your Family' brand platform, which took social media by storm earlier this year, generating 10M impressions and 450k social shares.

In the film, a man enters a party singing about how his favorite person there is the dog. “Dogs aren’t political. They never ridicule you with unprompted beliefs. Dogs don’t claim that cancel culture ruined comedy,” the man sings. As he lists each reason that he loves dogs–from not shaming you about vaccines to not vaping at your niece’s recital–scenes unfold with his family and friends executing each of the unpleasantries. The musical comes to an end with the man stating that “dogs won’t betray you or ruin your life, but if they go missing, they might.” But not with the new Life360 pet tracker.

The work was developed in partnership with Feral Child (Passion Pictures) as well as Steve Ayson (MJZ) and songwriter Nick Lutsko, who is most notable for his work with the cult animated series Ren & Stimpy. Looking to build on the social-media-fuelled success of 'I think of you (Dying),' the brand is keeping its focus squarely on that space, rolling out the sequel across organic and paid social channels.

As with its predecessor, the campaign leans into the kind of brutally honest, unspoken truths about family, like how sometimes the dog really is the smartest, most dependable member of the household. Life360 decided to triple down on the uniquely humorous tone of 'Family-Proof Your Family' on the back of the extremely positive response to the platform’s first two campaigns.

The first series of films, 'Coffin,' 'Coat,' and 'Curfew,' which debuted in 2024, were awarded trophies from Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, New York Festivals, Ciclope and the Webby’s. The latest instalment, 'I Think of You (Dying),' exploded well beyond the traditional advertising world, garnering more than a million views on IG and TikTok, as well as around 70k shares across those social networks.
