Funkin Cocktails has launched a new through-the-line campaign created by Impero, ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Funkin’, designed to drive awareness and trial of its Nitro Cocktails range and reinforce the ready-to-drink category as the go-to choice for flavour-packed convenience.
The campaign aims to strengthen Funkin’s brand love among new and lapsed consumers by spotlighting the brand’s nitro serve, relevant social occasions and distinctive brand personality.
Funkin is a recognised category leader, known for its nitro credentials and distinctive flavour profile. The campaign celebrates the velvety sweet taste experience to encourage more consumers to discover the range.
Impero developed the strategy and creative platform, ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Funkin’, to connect the Nitro Cocktails range with women who are looking for an easy cocktail fix in key social occasions; including staying in with friends, summer get-togethers and on-the-go moments.
The campaign will run across OOH, social and shopper channels, with the first burst of activity launching across London OOH sites including The Great West Road Towers, The Southbank Tower, Holland Park Tower and Wandsworth Tower East, supported by shopper marketing and social activity.
Michael Scantlebury, executive creative director at Impero, said, “The RTD category is becoming increasingly crowded and increasingly serious. What makes Funkin stand out is that they truly understand their audience and aren’t afraid to own what people love about the brand. ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Funkin’ is unapologetically single-minded in bringing that spirit back to the category.”
Lucy Reidy, marketing manager at Funkin Cocktails, said, “We know that once people try Funkin Nitro Cocktails, they love the velvety smooth taste experience, so this campaign was about bringing that distinctive product truth to life in a way that feels culturally relevant and emotionally resonant.
