Felon has signed directors Bethany Mollenkof and Joe Wright for Canadian representation, adding two distinct voices to its roster.
Bethany is known for human, documentary-led storytelling, natural performances, real environments, and work that feels emotionally direct without getting overly polished. She’s a Los Angeles-based director and photographer with a photojournalism background, and her work often explores motherhood, gender, identity, and representation. Brands including Apple, Nike, Google, Adidas, Mercedes-Benz, Advil, and American Express have commissioned her for campaigns, alongside editorial assignments for publications such as The New York Times, Time Magazine, and National Geographic. Alongside her doc instincts, she brings a strong mixed-media sensibility, bringing texture, collage, layered imagery, and a more editorial feel to projects looking for something formally flexible.
Joe joins the roster with a precision-driven approach, with particular strength in automotive storytelling and macro detail. His work leans into craft: surfaces, light, motion, and the kind of close-up product language that makes cars and design-forward brands feel tactile and premium. He’s widely known as a meticulous, detail-first filmmaker, and has directed Super Bowl campaigns, earned industry awards, and has work featured in the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt Museum.
“Bethany and Joe both have a clear point of view, and that’s a big part of why we’re excited,” said Spencer Houghton, executive producer at Felon. “A strong POV helps push the creative and makes the collaboration more interesting. Bethany brings that human, doc-led intimacy– plus a mixed-media edge. Joe brings serious craft, especially in cars and detail work. It’s a great fit for what we want to offer the Canadian market.”
Both directors are now available through Felon for Canadian projects.
