In her new role, Talin Baharian will oversee the continued growth and evolution of Deutsch Design

Deutsch has promoted longtime design leader Talin Baharian to EVP, head of design, where she will lead the agency’s world class design practice.

Talin has played a major role in building Deutsch Design into one of the agency’s most sought-after disciplines, helping assemble a team of 20 plus designers, with expertise spanning branding, visual identity, packaging, motion graphics, innovation and integrated creative.

In her new role, Talin will oversee the continued growth and evolution of Deutsch Design, partnering across creative, strategy and client teams to build brands and businesses through thoughtful, design-led solutions.

“Talin’s fingerprints are on nearly every major brand we’ve built and even our own identity through her work on the Deutsch logo,” said Kim Getty, CEO of Deutsch. “She’s an invaluable creative partner, an exceptional mentor and coach, and a leader our clients trust. Talin knows this team, its talent and its potential better than anyone, and I can’t think of a better person to lead it forward.”

Today, Talin helps lead design across more than 120 brands in the Keurig Dr Pepper portfolio, spanning visual identity and packaging. Recent work includes Deutsch Design’s work for Snapple, which was praised across the advertising and design industry for tapping into the maximalist nostalgia of the legacy brand. Deutsch Design also led the rebrand of the WNBA’s Dallas Wings ahead of the team’s 2026 season.

Talin began her career at Deutsch in 2001 and has had an outsized impact on the agency ever since. She helped design Deutsch’s current logo and has played a material role in nearly every new business win over the past five years. A trusted partner to colleagues and clients alike, she is known for combining thoughtful craft with strategic thinking and a collaborative approach to leadership.

“Watching Talin grow into this role has been one of the great joys of my time at Deutsch,” said Adhemas Batista. “She’s a phenomenal designer who makes everyone around her better, and I’ve seen firsthand the thought, care and ambition she brings to the work and to this team. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together and couldn’t feel better leaving it in her hands.”

Over the course of her career, Talin has been guided by a simple belief: “great design isn’t decoration; it’s one of the most powerful business tools a brand can have.” She’s worked across brands including Honda, Target, Old Navy, Dr Pepper, Zillow, 7-Eleven, Walmart, and Lowe’s. She served as design director on Volkswagen for over six years, and more recently led the development of brand refreshes and design systems that modernised Credit One, and various Verizon Value Brands. Talin succeeds Adhemas, former chief design officer, whose leadership over the past eight years helped transform Deutsch’s design capability. Under his leadership, Deutsch Design became recognised for its work across branding, packaging and innovation while helping establish the agency as a leader in AI-enabled creative design workflows. He also built a culture centred on mentorship, recruiting and developing many of the designers who make up the practice today. Adhemas is leaving the agency for another opportunity.

Kim also recognised Adhemas’ contribution to the agency and the design practice he helped shape. “Adhemas took our design capability and made it truly world-class. Today, Deutsch Design competes with the best standalone design companies because of his vision and commitment,” said Kim. “The sign of a great leader is creating something that does not depend on them. When you recruit, coach and invest in great talent, you leave something bigger than yourself. Adhemas did exactly that. We’re incredibly grateful for everything he has given to Deutsch and excited to see the impact he’ll continue to make in his next chapter.”
