Blending British humour with a distinctly urban edge, a new DIBZ spot boldly defines the brand’s world where ‘Bingo Meets Football'. From the creative minds of Daniel Flynn, Jamie Webster and Mark Forster, the film is subversive, playful and knowingly daft, starring an unlikely hero: a granny with the swagger and skill of a street football baller, part Nan, part Neymar, all confidence. This is a Britain where bingo halls hum with terrace energy, and football culture is reimagined with a wink and a grin.
At the centre is ‘Nan-Dijk’, a lace-up legend who proves that flair, competition and bragging rights know no age limit. The result is a comedic collision of cultures that feels fresh, irreverent and proudly British, joyfully tearing up expectations of who the game, and the game of bingo, is really for.
The film was made by The Banquet and produced by Adham Hunt, whose collaborative approach and production expertise helped bring director Ian Roderick Gray’s vision to life with pace, confidence and precision. Director of photography Pablo Rojo injects energy and grit through dynamic camerawork, grounding the action in a cinematic, street-level realism.
In contrast, bold VFX by Noah Kayma at LMNTL pushed the film into the heightened world of ‘80s and ‘90s arcade football games, layering the match with stylised graphics and game-inspired flourishes that amplify the fun, fantasy and competitive spirit.
The playful rhythm is sharpened in the edit by Greg Hayes, with sound design by Edwin Matthews drawing on arcade-era intensity to heighten both humour and impact. The final polish comes from colourist Adam Mears at The Harbor Picture Company, delivering a punchy, cohesive finish that ties the worlds together.
