Coolr has appointed Caolan Mahon as senior associate director, a newly created role in the client services team. He will focus on leading the strategic direction and creative impact of key accounts including Lidl and Müller, as the agency continues to expand its client base and focus on ongoing growth.
In this new role, Caolan will ensure key accounts including Lidl and Müller benefit from the highest levels of strategic rigour, partnership depth and creative firepower, while also deepening senior client relationships and reinforcing the agency’s position as a trusted senior partner.
With over 15 years experience leading client services and championing social-first brand thinking, Caolan will also play a hands-on role in mentoring and strengthening the client services team at Coolr, ensuring it is set up to deliver ambitious, culturally sharp work. He will report directly to client partner Sarah Hains.
Caolan brings deep expertise in helping major brands show up with impact and joins Coolr after six years at creative social agency That Lot, where he was most recently vice president of client experience and growth (social). In this role he was a senior counsel to flagship clients including Adobe, Greggs and Unilever, with a focus on driving client satisfaction, team performance and commercial growth. His leadership has driven social campaigns that have received recognition from PRWeek, The Drum, and the SABRE Awards.
Founded in the UK in 2017, Coolr has quickly established itself as a leading social media agency of record for global brands, with its growing client roster and cultural influence driving the next stage of its evolution.
Caolan’s appointment marks the culmination of a standout year for Coolr. The agency has recently expanded its presence in the US with the appointment of its first US president Mark Lainas and strengthened its leadership team with Ben Bilboul joining as chairman.
Caolan Mahon, senior associate director at Coolr, said, “What drew me to Coolr is its ambition when it comes to social - moving beyond content plans to the space where brands can genuinely shape culture, build loyalty and drive meaningful results. My career has always been guided around the belief that it all starts with strong, honest client relationships, where both sides can challenge and collaborate. I look forward to helping clients think more ambitiously about social, while supporting our teams to continue to deliver effective and culturally sharp work.”
Adam Clyne, founder and CEO at Coolr, said, “Caolan’s expertise and approach to building strong relationships with clients is aligned with our focus. Coupled with his strategic and creative strengths, I am confident that Caolan is going to be an invaluable member of the senior team at Coolr.
