Partizan’s Camille Boumans has helmed a unique collaboration with Mick Jagger for The Rolling Stones’ latest video. Created for their rendition of Shame, Shame, Shame, the video is a restless archive exploding into motion. It is a love letter to The Stones, stitched together with scraps, riffs, and pure rock ’n’ roll attitude. Produced by Partizan Studio, the video brings a scrapbook to life, blending archival footage and mixed media to capture the spirit of the lyrics.
The animation production was a true collaboration between Camille and designer and animator Ewan Jones Morris, who meticulously crafted each 'page' of the film with a distinctive visual language. Drawing on a wealth of archival material, they combined imagery, texture, and narrative detail to create a work that feels both intimate and expansive. Blending traditional and contemporary techniques, the duo employed a mixture of digital design, hand-crafted animation, and in-camera experiments such as stop motion and photographic sequences. This fusion of methods lends the film a tactile quality, evoking the sensation of something carefully made by hand while embracing the possibilities of modern animation.

“It’s all about creating something you’d enjoy watching yourself: a chef wouldn’t put a dish on the menu if he didn’t like it himself?!
When The Rolling Stones came knocking, the recipe was freshly made. The ingredients? A sketchbook that could’ve lived in the back pocket of Mick Jagger, blended with incredible archive photography dug up from the deepest corners of the ‘secret archive basement’ (Dropbox).

And for the finishing touch: the golden hands of three animators: Ewan Jones Morris, Amy Hancock, and Adolfo Redaño. All under the care of the Partizan family,” said Camille Boumans.
