Leading independent agency BarkleyOKRP has opened its first New York City office at 520 West 25th Street, establishing a permanent home in Chelsea and expanding its national footprint.
At launch, roughly 20 employees will be based in the New York office, including several key leaders across creative, media, and operations, such as Sean Corcoran, president of MissionOne Media; Asad Husain, chief financial officer; Christine Gratton, executive creative director; Lavall Chichester, EVP, SEO & AI optimisation; and Laurel Boyd, EVP, media + creative.
This move is part of the agency’s broader national expansion, including a new Kansas City headquarters opening next fall and an Austin office opening this month. With the addition of New York, BarkleyOKRP now numbers nearly 700 people across Kansas City, Chicago, Austin, Denver, and New York.
“Opening our New York office in the heart of the ad industry’s flagship city represents a big step for us as the ‘Big Indie’,” said Katy Hornaday, CEO of BarkleyOKRP. “Rather than building a single-discipline outpost, we’re opening New York the same way we build everywhere else: creative, media, and strategy working side by side. It’s a full-mix office from day one, not a satellite, and a natural evolution of our growth, ambitions, and client needs,” she added.
The opening follows a strong year of new business and work, including Inspire Sleep, Frontier, Sierra, Lending Club, Land O Frost, Suja Life, and others.
