Modern-day fears get a playful LEGO twist in a light-hearted new Halloween social media series from the LEGO Group

This spooky season, Our LEGO Agency (OLA) is swapping pumpkins and ghouls and doing Halloween a little differently. In 2025, nobody’s scared of skeletons or ghosts anymore – we’re scared of modern life.

Working with OLA, the internal creative agency within the LEGO Group, and Mega Space Fighter, the LEGO Group has created The LEGO Adulting Horror Express, a hilarious and relatable Halloween series that swaps jump scares for everyday fears.

Using LEGO bricks, the team have built a ‘Ghost Train of Adulting’, with each stop on the journey depicting a different modern horror:

  • ‘1% Battery’ – the panic of your phone dying at the worst possible moment.
  • ‘Unknown Caller’ – the terror of answering a call you didn’t expect.
  • ‘Same-Day Deadline’ – the horror of realising the project is due today.
  • ‘The Dating Ghost’ – the chilling moment you realise they’re never texting back.

The LEGO Adulting Horror Express will roll out across the LEGO Group’s social channels from October 27th to 30th, with each day unveiling a new stop on the journey. The series celebrates the brand’s growing adult audience, using tongue-in-cheek humour and captivating LEGO animation to bring a fresh twist to Halloween.

“Halloween is all about facing our fears, but in 2025 those fears look a little different,” said Stephania Silveira, global creative director at Our LEGO Agency. “With the LEGO Adulting Horror Express, we wanted to put a playful twist on the everyday anxieties of modern life; from low batteries to missed deadlines and show that even the scariest moments can inspire creativity and humour through the world of LEGO bricks and play.”

“As our adult fan community grows, we want to show that LEGO play isn’t just for kids, it’s a creative escape from the everyday life of being a grown-up,” said Alexis Fontana, our VP, Social Media. This Halloween, we’re switching things up and tapping into the fears adults actually feel today, with content that’s fun, relatable and made to make you smile.”
