What happens when a missed free kick turns into a worldwide adventure? In an ambitious mixed-reality collaboration for Lenovo Yoga, SuperHeroes brought together six digital street artists from around the world to turn an unlucky shot into a globe-spanning story called “Detour.” The global kickoff landed just in time for the FIFA World Cup Final Draw on December 5, 2025, with more to come this year.

Each artist added their own unique creative spin, building a seamless, continuous story that’s as playful as it is visually epic. The idea takes a single soccer ball on a wild journey from LA to Brazil, Qatar, India, Germany, Toronto, and back to LA.

It all kicks off with NudeRobot in LA. As he lines up his shot, a sleek mechanical leg forms around his own, then… Boom! The ball rockets off the crossbar and blasts straight into the next chapter of this surreal adventure.

GabrielBenicio picks up the ball in Brazil at the Three Powers Square, where the monumental warrior statues spring to life. They toss and juggle the ball before sending it on its way to Qatar.

In Qatar, Ghost3Dee uses the Katara Towers to catch the ball mid-flight. It rolls along sloped rooflines, through ramps, and triggers a wild Rube Goldberg machine, flipping, bouncing and finally launching toward India.

The ball drops into a bustling Indian market, knocking over scattered objects, triggering a chaotic chain reaction by ShutterAuthority. The ball then spills into the street, bouncing off passing cars, until it reaches an elephant who gives it the final nudge toward Berlin.

In Berlin, M_Editat turns the ball into a whimsical street-art adventure. In his signature analogue style, the ball tumbles through a marble-run adventure, bouncing off windows and facades, twisting and turning in a playful cityscape before transforming back into a real ball and blasting off toward Toronto.

CamylBuena catches the ball in Toronto at the Cherry Street Bridge. It ricochets off walls and buildings before barreling into the base of the CN Tower, where it skyrockets straight up the building, launching the ball all the way back to LA, where NudeRobot, now with his upgraded mechanical leg, finally scores the epic goal.

Stay tuned for more from SuperHeroes x Lenovo and FIFA as the World Cup approaches!
