The Lott inspires wonder for Aussies with… a fish?

The spot created by Special, and directed by Revolver’s Fiona McGee, celebrates the momentous occasion of winning the lottery by comparing it to the rare sighting and catching of a giant fish.

A quiet, almost eccentric looking town excitedly gathers at a lake for the hope of catching said fish. The music is suspenseful, and the split-second zoom into a shocked face of one of the townsfolk really emphasises the unusual event that is giant-fishing.

The work captures the extraordinary without feeling too outlandish. Fishing feels normal enough to be relatable, but the twist does genuinely spark wonder.
