OMD and The Royals are already confirmed as industry partners

UnLtd has announced PROJECT ROCKIT as its newest strategic charity partner, backing the youth-led organisation to scale its evidence-based wellbeing and digital safety programs into schools facing the greatest socioeconomic and geographic barriers.

With a 20-year national track record and global credibility, PROJECT ROCKIT is on a mission to ignite bravery in youth voice against bullying, hate, and prejudice. Their workshops empower students to challenge bullying, fostering school and online culture grounded in understanding, kindness, and inclusivity, helping students be safe at school and online.

Through the partnership, UnLtd will support PROJECT ROCKIT Foundation (PRF) to accelerate delivery of programs into under-resourced schools, amplifying youth voice and unlocking industry support to meet surging demand for effective bullying prevention, digital safety, and wellbeing education.

OMD and The Royals are already confirmed as industry partners, with a national awareness and fundraising campaign in early development.

The partnership comes at a time of critical need where demand for PRF workshops continues to outstrip capacity, with a waitlist of nearly 150 schools and growing. Teacher surveys highlight the urgency, with 92% reporting poor student mental health, 89% of students facing offline or online bullying, and 47% dealing with image-based abuse, including sextortion.

Rosie Thomas OAM, executive director and co-founder of PROJECT ROCKIT Foundation, said, “Right now, young Aussies are navigating unprecedented levels of online harm, exclusion, and social pressure and the impact is felt most deeply in communities with the least access to support.

"Partnering with UnLtd enables us to reach the schools that miss out, at scale, while staying true to what makes PROJECT ROCKIT work: young people leading the change. This partnership is a powerful step toward our goal of reaching one million young Australians by 2026.”

PROJECT ROCKIT Foundation delivers funded, preventative, strengths-based programs for students in years 3–12, focusing on bullying and bystander behaviour, digital safety, healthy relationships, empathy, diversity, and mental wellbeing.

Workshops are delivered by trained young facilitators to ensure peer-to-peer engagement that is culturally relevant, trauma-aware, and authentic.

The results are powerful with independent research from Western Sydney University showing student confidence to challenge bullying increases from 49 per cent to 96 per cent following participation in PROJECT ROCKIT programs.

Jade Harley, director of impact at UnLtd, said PRF stood out for its proven impact, youth-led model and readiness to scale.

“PROJECT ROCKIT combines what the sector urgently needs: deep credibility with young people, rigorous evidence of impact, and a prevention-focused delivery model that reaches communities most others can’t.

"This partnership is a powerful opportunity for our industry to help tackle bullying, hate, and prejudice and create safer online spaces for young people — while gaining access to genuine youth insights that can inform better campaigns, safer platforms, and stronger outcomes for all.”

The partnership with UnLtd will provide PRF with access to industry skills, creativity and networks, campaign amplification, and new pathways for corporate engagement — while offering the industry an opportunity to support a proven, award-winning youth voice model addressing online harm, discrimination, digital inequity, and mental health.

Andrew Reeves, head of strategy at The Royals, said, “Bullying is an insidious ever-present danger for young people, and something many of us have encountered in our lives. It’s a topic that speaks to us and taps our passion for inclusion, equity, and openness -- which sit at the very heart of who we are as Royals.

"That’s why we’re so proud to be part of this and to support PROJECT ROCKIT to help create safer online and offline communities for kids of all backgrounds. This partnership ensures that young people who would otherwise miss out are not left behind -- and we’re pumped to find a creative way to help.”

Jane Combes, chief media partnerships officer at OMD Australia added, “OMD has had the privilege of working closely with the PROJECT ROCKIT team through a 'Pitch Off With Purpose' partnership last year.

"After seeing firsthand the power of their youth‑led mission to challenge bullying and build safer, more inclusive cultures for young people, the OMD team is incredibly passionate about continuing this partnership in a meaningful, long‑term way -- bringing together the power of modern media creativity, lived experiences, and brave youth voices to help create positive change at scale.”
