Significant Others Opens Santa Monica Office Led by Thomas Reimerink

Creative studio Significant Others NY has opened its new Santa Monica office, Significant Others LA, led by creative director Thomas “Thom” Reimerink.

The new studio launched with Coldplay’s music video ‘All My Love’ from their 10th studio album, Moon Music, directed by Spike Jonze, with Thomas serving as VFX lead. This debut was quickly followed by a major campaign for Expedia, showcasing the new office’s scale, technical range, and creative capabilities.

The decision to expand Significant Others’ offering to the West Coast comes in response to a growing demand for their work out of Los Angeles and the need for a physical location to support this expansion. Located within Final Cut’s Santa Monica offices, Significant Others is capitalising on its close relationship with editorial - offering an integrated, seamless post-production experience.

Thomas brings extensive experience from his time as co-founder of Little Farm Productions, where he led VFX and finishing for major campaigns with brands such as Nike, Google, Mazda, Burger King, Honda, and YouTube. Working alongside Reimerink is VFX supervisor and flame artist Phil Apostol, whose diverse credits include campaigns for Coca-Cola, Pringles, Starbucks, and Meta, as well as high-profile collaborations with musicians including Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, and Dave Grohl. Phil joined Significant Others in 2022 from Therapy Studios.
