Paul Whitehead Releases ‘Neon Wave 3’ and ‘Dark Pulses’

Paul Whitehead has recently released two new albums.

Neon Wave 3 is the third instalment in Score Production Music's retro-futuristic series, this time emphasising powerful heroes, level-up vibes, and unstoppable gaming action. Ideal for video games, esports, and action-packed content, it’s a companion album to SCORE097 and SCORE185.

Paul says, “I’ve always been drawn to 80s inspired soundscapes, so creating a third Neon Wave album was something I leapt at with real excitement. This project gave me the chance to blend nostalgic synth textures with modern production polish, crafting tracks designed for maximum emotional impact and versatility across media and sync.”

Dark Pulses, meanwhile, is a dark, synth-led collection for moments of preparation, contemplation, and slow determination. Subtly building with retro and modern tones, these tracks are ideal for training montages, pre-match rituals, and character-led sports sequences.

Paul says, “Accessing my darker side for this project was a fascinating process. I focused on striking a balance, keeping the tracks deceptively simple yet constantly evolving with layers of analogue textures and pulsing energy. The result is music that feels both raw and cinematic, that hopefully draws the listener deeper as each track unfolds.”
