For almost 30 years the same twinkling sounds have sparked a humming choir of ‘Holidays Are Coming’, letting us know that the Christmas season is officially on its way.
Coca-Cola is building on that tradition with its 2025 holiday campaign, headlined by a brand new TVC, 'A Holiday Memory', debuting across North America, Latin America and Asia-South Pacific markets, alongside – for the second year running – an AI-powered refresh of its iconic ‘Holidays Are Coming’ Christmas trucks ad.
According to the brand, ‘Refresh Your Holidays’ sets out to “inspire human connection by transforming the hustle and bustle of the season into moments to pause and experience pure joy with every sip.”
‘A Holiday Memory’, the live-action TVC, shows a mother busy planning and prepping for the holiday, frustrated trying to balance the star on the tree. Refreshed by an ice-cold gulp of Coca-Cola, she discovers a magic-infused ornament – a snow globe containing figures who then spring to life in memory – celebrating to the tune of ‘Feliz Navidad’. It’s a moment that reminds her what the holidays are all about.
The brand continues to embrace AI with its storytelling, once again collaborating with Silverside AI on the refreshed ‘Holidays Are Coming’ film. In a visual upgrade from last year’s spot, we see all sorts of adorable animals’ eyes glisten in wide-eyed awe and excitement as the red trucks trundle by.
The campaign as a whole was developed by WPP Open X, led by VML, and supported by EssenceMediacom and Ogilvy.
"This year, our iconic Coca-Cola holiday campaign strives to encourage a moment of refresh and a much-deserved break for all those who tirelessly work behind the scenes to craft the magic of the season,” said Islam ElDessouky, global vice president of creative strategy & content at Coca-Cola. "Building on last year's campaign, this evolution truly embodies our commitment to inspiring human connection and uplifting moments, especially during the holiday season."
In a further bid to encourage human connection, Coca-Cola’s ‘Caravans and Truck Tour’ will also deliver immersive experiences in communities throughout November and December, “bringing people together to enjoy the spirit of Christmas”.
