Gulko Films has signed Anastasiia Soviak-Krukovska, a Ukrainian director whose storytelling blends emotional depth, visual precision, and a distinct sense of humour.
Anastasiia was raised on film sets in Ukraine, surrounded by cameras, lights, and stories in motion. Coming from a family of cinematographers, she absorbed a strong visual sensitivity from an early age and began exploring the world of storytelling long before she picked up a camera herself.
She began her directing journey with short films - 'Long Waves,' a tender romantic comedy that charmed its way through international festivals, and 'If Not Me, Then Who?', a documentary capturing the spirit of the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity and revealing Anastasiia’s gift for emotional depth and universal human truth.
In commercials, Anastasiia’s work blends a refined sense of comedy with playful slapstick energy and bold visual precision. Her approach to VFX feels tactile, alive - a dance between imagination and technical finesse. She’s collaborated closely with global brands such as Visa and Samsung.
A writer and visual storyteller, Anastasiia also channels her imagination through music videos - weaving elements of magic realism and poetic imagery into emotionally resonant narratives.
When not on set, she finds inspiration through photography - capturing atmosphere, light, and the quiet beauty of the world and people around her.
