

United by a shared vision to the ever-changing edge of contemporary style, adidas Originals and Miaou came together to present their inaugural collaborative collection channeling motorsports rooted in femininity and the iconicness of California.
The campaign features Gabbriette, Devon Lee Carlson, and founder Alexia Elkaim as they traverse a Californian desert landscape in a car, highlighting Miaou’s irreverently playful spirit.
Founded in 2016 by Alexia Elkaim, in nearly a decade of existence, Miaou has emerged as a key force shaping the future of the womenswear industry. With a distinctly feminine approach to design at its core, the brand continually reimagines and reinvents vintage styles and aesthetics for a contemporary audience, while simultaneously cultivating a fervent community around the world. Today, Miaou operates as a conduit between collaborators, muses, and friends, showing up at key cultural moments with the goal of inspiringandbeing inspired by the network Elkaim has built.
Embodying the defiant attitude of automotive culture, the footwear offering consists of two unique silhouettes – the Miaou Boot and the Mei Elite Miaou. Adding dramatic height to the low profile look, the Miaou Boot takes adidas’ Taekwondo tooling and reimagines it with a high cut mesh body with leather Three Stripes and a black metallic “M” branded zip pull. The Mei Elite Miaou, meanwhile, features a silver satin upper with contrasting yellow stripes and embroidered “M” branding on the tongue.
The collection also boasts a suite of apparel and accessories, inspired by motorsport, reimagined for a new context. First, a black jacket with an asymmetric two way zipper is complemented by a black dress with navy padded sleeves. Next, staying true to the brand’s aesthetic, a three piece matching set comprises a corset style track top, track pants, and a base layer. Finally, the collection is completed by a yellow bag with contrasting navy branded details.
YOUTH MODE, who have collaborated consistently with adidas across multiple divisions - including Originals, Football, and Basketball - over several years, created the original soundtrack and sound design for this campaign.
